... and the nosebleeds ?

No special flyer, but part of a very special weekend as Snafu celebrates it's 2nd Birthday. Sunday 24th September is going to be a bit large... Richard Deluxe and Andy Dunproofin' are your Kitsch Bitches this month: expect the usual indie bootleg electro booty brick shithouse from them .... but we're extremely pleased to also have the company of:

DJ Mehdi (Ed Banger Records)

Signed to Ed Banger Records, DJ Mehdi is about to drop album Lucky Boy in October 2006. His new single 'I Am Somebody' features vocals from Canada's finest Chromeo and remixes by Kenny Dope from the mighty Masters At Work. The album is described as '21st century Breakdancing music', exploring the widest meanings of Hip-Hop, and featuring Feadz (of Uffies fame) and graffiti artist Fafi. His sets are often hailed as "Everything black party music", "Sex, Drums and Beats & Blues", or "Kraftwerk were African".

Cagedbaby (Southern Fried Records)

Tom Gandey, alias Cagedbaby, broke the mould and set his goals for dance music domination. His debut album 'Will See You Now' has unsurprisingly prompted some to bracket him with the likes of Mylo, Cut Copy and LCD Soundsystem. Clearly influenced by 1980s acts like Toto and Prince, Cagedbaby's sound is both funky and pleasing, and has had Gandey tipped to be the next big thing in poppy electronica since Mylo and Norwegian duo Royksopp.

Snafu, 1 Union Street, Aberdeen: 24/09/2006: Doors from 10pm.

Still more fun than you can shake a wet fish at.
